With intent to create a 24x7 interactive positive discussion group for residents welfare. Where an individual resident can be heard and supported; where the RWA work can be more answerable and appreciated.
I am J.M.Sood, resident of Flat 1300 in the Pocket. I am living in the Pocket since 1990 and has been very active in the initial years.
A problem which has been agitating the country and resident of C-1 is the number of cars and related problems.
I feel like suggesting that we should limit one/two cars per flat in the parking lot and if residents in a flat have more than this number, the cars should be parked at places other than the parking lots e.g. the main lane dividing pocket and out of the pocket.
We can also think of levying extra charge for the second car depending upon its size.
It is suggested that a group may be formed consisting of elected members and active members who can contribute to better living insofar as rising population of cars is concerned.
Before leving any extra charges blindly without seeing the root cause of why people are keeping second car, whether second car is for luxury or a necessity we don't have to act upon such options.
Irrespective of how many cars a resident owns a small contribution per month per car (Say Rs. 50/) would provide an income to the RWA set aside for developing and maintaining parking areas/lanes with proper markings, dust bins, speed breakers, etc. More effective, Residents in Lanes sharing parking spaces could form their own group generating their own income for this purpose.
Income to RWA??? and then they do what send greeting cards to everybody! Why not tighten up security by paying guards and having barbed wires over fences???
Congratulations for a very good move.
